When Autumn Leaves is a film that offers an exploration of modern relationships against the backdrop of present-day Washington DC, a city that seems to modernize and grow by the minute.
One of our primary goals is to pay homage to the historical significance of the DC’s U Street Corridor. Once known as “Black Broadway”, this neighborhood was primarily residential at the outset. However, it soon developed into an epicenter of African-American life in the first half of the 20th century. This was one of the most exciting areas in the country for the celebration of black culture. When Autumn Leaves will reflect the arts legacy to be found there.
From modern dance, to all manner of music, to the eclectic collection of murals, monuments, paintings and sculptural works, we are proud to produce When Autumn Leaves within this richly significant DC neighborhood.
